COVID-19 and the McCauley Community League AGM

As you may be aware, the McCauley Community League’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) is scheduled for March 29. With many organizations cancelling public events to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus), you may be wondering if we will be postponing the AGM.

At the moment, Alberta Health is recommending cancelling any gatherings of more than 250 people. Attendance at our AGM is typically well below this number and we are looking to see what we can do to make sure the venue is set up to minimize the risk of transmission. We have not made a decision to postpone the AGM at this time, but the situation with COVID-19 is changing daily so we are monitoring the advice of public health agencies and may decide to postpone it based on new information closer to the scheduled date.

We may also explore options for a telephone or web conference, rather than an in-person meeting.

We will do our best to keep you updated and let you know as soon as possible if things change.
